Located in the Ferghana Valley, Isfara is situated among the twisted borders and enclaves of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The town is the regional capital, located two hours east of Khujand.

There are 1044 students at the school and 64 teachers. Five Lead Teachers are active in Connectivity Project activities. The public school is located in the center of the town and the director of the school is a TEA alumni. The school Internet Learning Center has five computers, all from the Connectivity Project.
