The Tajikistan School Connectivity Project establishes Internet
Learning Centers (ILCs) in twenty schools across Tajikistan.
Through a competitive application process, schools were selected
that best meet the criteria for involvement (such as an active
community and PTA, high girls' attendance rates, sustainability
plans, etc.). The schools are selected for wide geographic
distribution and to target areas where ethnic minorities,
refugees, orphans, people with disabilities, and women can
be encouraged to continue with education. Read more information

Our ten US school partners are each matched with two Tajikistan schools on the basis of education and community interests. Each school team has committed to a year-long collaboration on interactive projects that encourage dialogue across borders and cultures. The projects address civic education issues such as human rights, minority issues, conflict resolution, volunteerism, civic participation, voting, and institutions of government.
