Tajikistan School Connectivity Project

School #18, Shahrinav


Shahrinav is a small town east of Dushanbe on the road to Tursunzade that had never seen the Internet, and did not have a single computer in any school. School #18 has a very active community and parent committee formed with the help of CARE, which has been working at that school for the past two years developing community and school attendance programs.

There are 744 students at the school and 47 teachers. Five Lead Teachers are active in Connectivity Project activities. The school Internet Learning Center has six computers from the Connectivity Project.
